How To Create Calculator Shortcut On Desktop In Windows 11

The Calculator app in Windows 11 is not just a calculator. In addition to all the basic functionalities, advanced modes like scientific, graphing, and programming are also available. Besides, the Windows 11 Calculator can also be used to calculate the difference between two dates and convert currency, length, weight, mass, temperature, power, data, and more. In short, the Calculator in Windows 11 is a handy app.

On a Windows 11 PC, the Calculator app can be accessed from the Start menu, search, or Run command. In addition to these methods, you can also create a shortcut on the desktop for ease of access.

If you love having a Calculator shortcut on the Windows 11 desktop for quick and easy access, all you need to do is follow the directions below.

Add Calculator shortcut to Windows 11 desktop

Step 1: Launch the Calculator app using search or any other method.

Step 2: Once the Calculator app is launched, right-click on its icon on the taskbar to see a menu (called jump list).

Step 3: Now, hold down the Shift key and then right-click on the Calculator entry in the menu (refer to the picture below).

Step 4: Click the Create shortcut option.

Step 5: Finally, when you get the following prompt, click the Yes button to add the Calculator shortcut to your Windows 11 desktop. Simple as that!

From now on, you may now double-click on the Calculator shortcut on the desktop to open the app.

To delete the Calculator app shortcut from the desktop, right-click on it and then click the Delete icon.

Add Calculator to Windows 11 taskbar

If you often need to access the Calculator app, you can consider pinning it to the taskbar. Once you pin it to the taskbar, the Calculator app’s icon will always appear on the taskbar, even if you close it. To open it, all you need to do is click on its icon on the taskbar!

To pin the Calculator to the taskbar:

Step 1: Run the Calculator app.

Step 2: Perform a right-click on the Calculator app’s icon on the taskbar and then click the Pin to taskbar option. That’s it!
