What are CC and BCC in emails?
In emails, CC is the short form of Carbon Copy, and BCC is the short form of Blind Carbon Copy. When you want to email multiple people but do not want them to know or see each other’s email addresses, you use the BCC. When you use CC, all recipients can see each other’s email address.
With default settings, the new Outlook app shows CC and BCC fields in the new email composing window so that users can quickly add email addresses to CC and BCC fields.
While both CC and BCC features are very helpful, most users do not need them. If you also do not use the CC and BCC features, you might want to hide/remove these fields from the new email composing window to free up some valuable space.
