As expected, Internet Explorer 9 packs-in plenty of features. One such features is the ability to pin a website or a web application to the Windows 7 taskbar. In this guide, we will show you how to pin a website to the Windows 7 taskbar using IE 9:

# Download, install and launch Internet Explorer 9 browser.

# Open your favorite web site in the browser.

# Simply drag and drop the website tab to the Windows 7 taskbar to pin it. You can always right-click on the taskbar and select Unpin this program from taskbar option to remove the pinned website from taskbar.

    FYI, my pinning only works if my taskbar is on the right / left side of my monitor. It doesn’t work in the middle, which is where i keep it….

    Pinning doesn’t work for me, either.

    When I drag a favorite shortcut to the taskbar I will get a popup stating “pin to taskbar.” However, what actually happens is that IE9 will be pinned to the taskbar and the website will be added to the right click menu for the IE9 taskbar icon. I tried multiple websites and they all fail similarly — they all get added to the IE9 icon rather than being given their own icon. Phooey.

    hi…when i drag the tab of any website say facebook on the taskbar..i dont get the full icon of the web page….can u tell me how to do that.

    For some reason when I try this it does not pin the site to the taskbar. I just doesn’t work. Can someone help me
