Amazon Prime Video is probably the most popular subscription-based video streaming and rental service after the market leader Netflix.
Like other streaming services, Prime Video service by Amazon offers movies and TV shows.
If you have issues with the Prime Video app, you can reinstall it to fix the problem. Here is how to reinstall the Prime Video app in Windows 10/11.
NOTE 1: All downloaded videos will be deleted when you reinstall Prime Video.
NOTE 2: You need to sign in to your Prime Video account all over again to begin using the app.
Reinstall Amazon Prime Video on Windows 10/11
Step 1: If you are on Windows 11, go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page. And if you are on Windows 10, navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features page.
Step 2: Look for the Amazon Prime Video entry. On Windows 10, click on the Amazon Prime Video entry and then click the Uninstall button. Click the Uninstall button once again when you are asked for confirmation.
On Windows 11, click on the three dots next to the Prime Video entry and then click the Uninstall option. If asked for confirmation, click the Uninstall button to uninstall and remove Prime Video.
Step 3: Launch the Microsoft Store app. Search for Amazon Prime Video, click on its entry and then click the Install button to download and install it. That’s it!
Launch the Prime Video app and sign in to your Amazon account to begin watching movies and TV shows.
Reinstall Amazon Prime Video on Mac
Step 1: On your Mac, navigate to the Applications folder in the Finder.
Step 2: Look for the Prime Video app, right-click on it, and click the Move to Bin option.
Type your password or use the touch ID when asked to do so.
Step 3: Open the App Store app. Search for Amazon Prime Video and click the install button to download and install the app.
Step 4: Once installed, launch the app and sign in to your account.
