Netflix is one of the most popular video streaming services out there. Available in most regions and countries, Netflix offers a wide range of movies, TV shows, documentaries, and more.
Although Netflix can be accessed via web browsers, an official app has also been made available for Windows operating system. In fact, the Netflix app for Windows has been available for a few years now.
One of the benefits of the Netflix app over accessing it via a web browser is that it lets you download movies so that you can watch them offline or when you are on a low-speed internet connection.
If you have been using the Netflix app on your Windows 10/11 PC and encountering some issues, you can consider reinstalling it.
This guide will show you how to reinstall the Netflix app in Windows 10/11.
Reinstall the Netflix app in Windows 10/11
NOTE: Remember that reinstalling the Netflix app will delete all data saved by Netflix on your computer. You will have to sign-in to your Netflix account all over again. Besides that, downloaded movies/videos will be deleted as well.
Step 1: In Windows 10, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features page. In Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: Look for the Netflix entry. In Windows 10, click on the Netflix entry and then click the Uninstall button. If you are running Windows 11, click the three dots next to Netflix’s entry and then click the Uninstall option (refer to the picture below).
Step 3: Click on the Uninstall button when you get the confirmation prompt to uninstall Netflix from your computer.
Step 4: Launch the Store app. Search for Netflix and then click the Install button to download and install the Netflix app.

Step 5: Finally, open the Netflix app using search and then sign in to your Netflix app and start watching your favorite movies, TV shows, and documentaries.
Is there a Netflix app for Mac?
As of October 2022, there is no official Netflix app for Mac. Instead, Mac users can use Safari or any other web browser to access Netflix.
