When unable to resolve an issue with the macOS, reinstalling the macOS is the best way to fix the problem.
Reinstalling macOS is relatively easy. The best part is that you can reinstall macOS without losing your personal data and installed apps.
This guide shows you how to safely reinstall the macOS Venture without losing data and apps.
IMPORTANT: Although reinstalling macOS using this method will not delete your personal data and installed apps, we recommend you create a backup using the built-in Time Machine or any other third-party software before reinstalling macOS.
NOTE: Reinstalling macOS Ventura requires an active internet connection. Make sure that your Mac is connected to an internet connection. If you wish to install macOS without an internet connection, please prepare a bootable USB of macOS and then install macOS from it.
NOTE: It might take a few hours to complete the reinstall.

Works as advertised … but “About 12 hours and 29 minutes remaining” is rather discouraging. (This is with an ethernet connection to the router.)
