Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music are some popular music streaming services available today.
Like its competitors, Spotify also offers an official Spotify app for Windows 10/11. This means that, in addition to the ability to access Spotify in a web browser, PC users can also use the official Spotify app to listen to millions of songs and podcasts.
If the Spotify app is not working correctly or showing an error, you can consider repairing, resetting, or reinstalling it.
This guide shows you how to repair, reset or reinstall the Spotify app in Windows 10/11.
Reinstall the Spotify app on Windows 10/11
Step 1: On Windows 10, navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features page. On Windows 11, go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: Here, the installed apps list shows all installed apps. The Spotify entry should show up here.
On Windows 10, click on Spotify’s entry and then click the Uninstall button. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to Spotify’s entry and then click the Uninstall option.
Step 3: When asked for confirmation, click the Uninstall button again to uninstall and remove the Spotify app.
Step 4: After uninstalling the Spotify app, open the Microsoft Store app using search.
Step 5: Use the Store app’s search feature to find the Spotify app.
Step 6: Click the Get/Install button to download and install the Spotify app.
Step 7: Once installed, launch the Spotify app, and sign in with your Spotify account details to start using it.
Reset or repair the Spotify Music app in Windows 10/11
Step 1: On Windows 10, go to Settings app > Apps > Apps & features page. On Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: In the installed apps list, look for Spotify’s entry. On Windows 10, click on the entry and then click the Advanced options link. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to Spotify’s entry and then click Advanced options.
Step 3: Here, in the Reset section, click on the Reset button to reset Spotify’s settings to default. To repair the Spotify app, click the Repair button.
