How To Reset The New Outlook App In Windows 11/10

Last Updated on December 12, 2023 by admin Leave a Comment

Microsoft has launched a new app to manage your emails on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers. The new Outlook app, which will replace the current Mail and Calendar app soon, offers all the features offered in the Mail app and more.

The new Outlook app for Windows is essentially a web app, and hence, it looks pretty much like the Outlook.com website.

The Outlook for Windows app works quite smoothly, just like the Mail app. However, since the app is in its early days, you might encounter issues at times.

If you have any issues with the new Outlook app, you can consider resetting it via the Settings app or PowerShell.

This guide shows you how to reset the new Outlook app in Windows 10 and 11.

NOTE: Resetting the Outlook app might delete all the data saved by the app on your computer. Additionally, you might have to add and sign in to your email accounts all over again.

Steps to reset the Outlook (New) in Windows 10/11 via Settings

Step 1: Open the Windows Settings app. On a Windows 11 PC, go to Apps > Installed apps page. If running Windows 10, navigate to Apps > Apps & features page.

Step 2: Here, look for the Outlook (New) entry. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to Outlook and then click Advanced options. On Windows 10, click on the Outlook (New) entry to reveal the hidden Advanced options link. Click on Advanced options.
