Microsoft is finally rolling out the new Outlook for Windows app to computers running Windows 10 and Windows 11. The new Outlook app will replace the existing Mail and Calendar app in Windows 10 and 11.
The new Outlook app offers most of the popular features in the current Outlook for Windows desktop program. The new Outlook app is heavily inspired by Outlook for Web (Outlook.com).
If you have been using the new Outlook for Windows app for some time, you probably know it’s pretty fast and stable. That said, some users have been reporting a variety of issues with the app.
Users who have issues with the new Outlook app can try reinstalling the app. This guide shows you how to reinstall the new Outlook for Windows app in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
NOTE: When you reinstall the Outlook app, you might lose the data saved in the app. You might need to sign in again to access your webmail accounts.
Reinstall the Outlook app in Windows 10/11
Step 1: On a Windows 11 PC, go to Windows 11 Settings > Apps > Installed apps page. If your PC runs Windows 10, navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps & features page.
Step 2: Here, look for the Outlook (New) entry. On Windows 11, click the three dots next to it and then click the Uninstall option. If you are on Windows 10, click on the Outlook (New) entry to reveal the Uninstall button. Click on the Uninstall button.
Step 3: When asked for confirmation, click the Uninstall button to uninstall and remove the Outlook app from your Windows 10/11 installation.
Step 4: Once Outlook is uninstalled, open the Microsoft Store app using search.
Step 5: In the Microsoft Store app, search for Outlook for Windows and then install the same. Simple as that!

Step 6: Once the Outlook app is installed, launch the app and add your email accounts one by one.
