How To Show System Tray Icons On All Monitors In Windows 11

Last Updated on June 23, 2026 by admin Leave a Comment

PC users who have connected two or more monitors to their Windows 11 PC might have noticed that the taskbar does not display the system tray and system tray icons on secondary monitors when connected displays are in “extend” mode. Although the date and time appear on all displays, the system tray area and tray icons appear only on the primary/main monitor.

Most PC users might not find this default behavior a problem because they can always access them from the primary display. However, there are users who would like to have system tray icons on all monitors, just like app icons on the taskbar.

While Windows 11 does not support showing system tray icons on all monitors out of the box, a third-party Windows 11 customization tool now supports showing taskbar system tray icons on all monitors by installing a simple mod.

This guide shows you how to install and configure the Windhawk software to show system tray icons on all Windows 11 monitors.

Important: Although the Windhawk software and the Taskbar multi-tray mod are safe and worked without any issues on our PC, we recommend creating a manual system restore point on your Windows 11 PC just in case something goes terribly wrong. In the case of any issues, uninstall Windhawk, and then restore Windows 11 with the help of the previously created restore point.

Step 1: The first step is to download and install Windhawk software from its official page. Download the installer, run it by double-clicking on the setup file, and then follow the easy on-screen directions to install it.

Step 2: Once installed, launch Windhawk.

Step 3: On the Home screen of Windhawk, click the Browse for mods button and then type Taskbar multi-tray in the search box to find the mod in the search results.

Step 4: Once the Taskbar multi-tray appears in the search results, click the Details button.

Step 5: Finally, click the Install button. Click the Accept Risk and Install button to download and install the mod. Note that, as the warning dialog suggests, users should download and install only mods that they trust!

The Taskbar Multi-tray mod should be installed in a few seconds. You might not see any notifications or indications on the screen about the installation.

Step 6: You should now see the Taskbar multi-tray on the Home screen under the Installed mods section. The Taskbar multi-tray mod is enabled by default, meaning that the system tray icons should start appearing on all connected displays right away. If not, please restart the File Explorer process once in Task Manager by following the directions in our how to restart the Windows File Explorer in Windows 11 guide.

That’s it! From now on, Windows 11 should display taskbar system tray and tray icons on all connected displays. To turn it off, turn off the Taskbar multi-tray mod in the Windhawk.
