Reinstall the Snipping Tool in Windows 11
Step 1: The first step is to open the Settings app. In the Settings app, navigate to Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: The page displays all installed apps on the right side. Here, look for the Snipping Tool entry.
Step 3: Once you find the Snipping Tool’s entry, click the three dots next to it and then click the Uninstall option.
Step 4: When asked for confirmation, click the Uninstall button to uninstall and remove Snipping Tool from your Windows 11 installation.
Step 5: Now that you have uninstalled Snipping Tool, it’s time to install a fresh copy of the same.
Open the Microsoft Store app using search, search for the Snipping Tool, and then click the Get/Install button to download and install the Snipping Tool.
That’s it! You have successfully reinstalled the Snipping Tool.
Reset or repair the Snipping Tool in Windows 11
Step 1: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps page.
Step 2: Click the three dots next to the Snipping Tool and then click Advanced options.
Step 3: Finally, in the Reset section, click the Repair button to repair the Snipping Tool and click the Reset button to reset the same to default settings.
