As rumored earlier, Microsoft has released October 2018 Update on October 2nd for Windows 10. Windows 10 October 2018 Update is version 1809 and is a feature update for Windows 10.

Windows 10 October 2018 (version 1809) is the latest version of Windows 10 and is rolling out to over 700 million Windows 10 users across the globe. The last feature update was version 1803 and released back in April 2018.

The October 2018 Update brings clipboard history, dark mode to File Explorer, Your Phone app, change font size without changing the scale or resolution, and a new snipping tool. In addition to these major features, the update also adds hundreds of small yet handy features to the world’s most popular desktop operating system.

Your Windows 10 PC will automatically download and install the update as and when available for your PC. To manually check if the update is available for your PC right now, navigate to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and then click Check for updates buttons.

Since this is a feature update, it might take weeks to months to available for your PC. If you cannot wait for the update, you can get the October 2018 Update right away using the official Media Creation Tool. After running the tool, select Upgrade this PC now option and then follow the on-screen directions.

To check your current version of Windows 10, type winver.exe in the Start/taskbar search field and then hit the Enter key.

    Please why don’t you have a search box or button on your website. It so difficult to navigate to the topic i want to browse. Please fix it ..but i love your topics ..there are so informative

    After update the tool bar is incomplete.
    No battery status/charging

    The update is now delayed. How many days will it take to fix the issue and roll out again?
