Update WhatsApp to the latest version on Windows 10/11 PC
NOTE: WhatsApp no longer offers the app for Windows 10/11 on its website. We need to get it from the Microsoft Store. So, we are talking about updating WhatsApp app installed from the Microsoft Store.
Step 1: Launch the Microsoft Store.
Step 2: On the left pane, click Library to see a list of apps installed from the Microsoft Store on your PC.
Step 3: Click the Get updates button to check if any updates are available for apps installed from the Store.
Step 4: If updates are available, you will see Update available next to the WhatsApp entry. Click the Update button to update WhatsApp to the latest version.
Check the WhatsApp version number on Windows 10/11 PC
Step 1: Launch the WhatsApp app.
Step 2: On the left pane of the WhatsApp window, click the settings/gear icon to open WhatsApp settings.
Step 3: Here, click the Help tab to see the WhatsApp version number on the right side. This is the WhatsApp version number installed on your Windows 10/11 computer.
