How To Hide Windows 7 Boot Screen
Posted July 6, 2009 – 4:15 pm in: Windows 7 GuidesAll Windows 7 users will agree that the new Windows 7 boot screen is better than ever before. If you remember, Microsoft had introduced a simple boot screen in the pre-beta build (ex: 6801).
The present flashy Windows logo boot screen was incorporated in the beta build. The new Windows 7 boot screen can be made hidden so that you can see only a black screen instead. Though this might increase Windows boot time by a second or two, most users like to watch the logo boot screen during Windows boot.
Well if you like to slightly increase your boot time, then try to hide/disable the GUI boot. To do this, you need follow the steps below:
1. Type msconfig in Start menu search box and hit enter.
2. When the System configuration dialog box opens, switch to Boot tab.
3. Look for the checkbox named “No GUI boot” and enable it.
4. Click Apply button and reboot your Windows 7 to see the new black boot screen.
5. That’s all!
