The print dialog in Windows 11 that appears when you try to print a webpage, document, or picture shows all installed physical and virtual printers on your PC. The list generally includes Microsoft Print to PDF, your physical printers, Windows XPS printer and sometimes OneNote (Desktop).
The OneNote (Desktop) virtual printer entry doesn’t appear out of the box in Windows 11. It appears only if OneNote or the Microsoft Office suite is installed on your PC.
When you select the OneNote (Desktop) printer from the print dialog and click the Print button, the selected webpage/document/picture is sent to your OneNote notebook. The feature is quite handy for users who often save documents, pictures, and webpages to their OneNote notebook.
On the other hand, users who do not use OneNote might see the OneNote (Desktop) printer entry as clutter and want to remove it from the printer list.
Removing the OneNote (Desktop) printer from the printer list is as easy as removing any other printer entry from the print dialog.
