Set Current Lock Screen Picture As Desktop Wallpaper In Windows 10

Windows Spotlight feature in Windows 10 automatically sets a beautiful picture as lock screen background. Available in all editions of Windows 10, Windows Spotlight feature automatically downloads latest Bing pictures and changes the lock screen background every day.

There is a provision in Windows 10 to automatically show the lock screen background picture on the sign-in or login page. When enabled, the feature automatically displays the current image of lock screen background on the sign-in page as well.

Would not it be nice if there was a way to set the latest Windows Spotlight lock screen background picture as desktop wallpaper as well?

Currently, there is no option in Windows 10 to automatically set the lock screen background image as desktop wallpaper. However, you can manually do so by finding the location of Windows Spotlight images and then setting the current one as desktop background.

If you find manually locating and saving current Windows Spotlight lock screen image as cumbersome, you can use third-party tools to set lock screen background image as desktop wallpaper in Windows 10.

Step 1: Download Lock Screen Reflection newest version from this official page. Extract the zip file to get the LSR.exe file.

Step 2: Run the LSR.exe file. If Windows SmartScreen feature displays a dialog with Windows Protected your PC message while trying to run LSR.exe, please click More info link on the same dialog and then click Run anyway button to run the program.

NOTE: Before downloading and running any program on your PC, we recommend you check the file for viruses and other malicious codes. You can use VirusTotal or Kaspersky VirusDesk to scan files online.

Step 3: Finally, click Set as wallpaper button to set the current Windows Spotlight picture as desktop background.
