How To Find When An App Was Updated In Windows 11

Last Updated on June 28, 2024 by admin Leave a Comment

The Windows 11 operating system automatically updates apps in the background. That is, it updates the apps that have been installed from the built-in Microsoft Store automatically in the background whenever updates are available.

If an app is not opening or working properly, you might want to check if the issue has cropped up after the app is updated. But how do you check when an app was updated or find recently updated apps?

Windows 11 offers two easy ways to find recently updated apps. You can use the built-in Microsoft Store and Settings to find recently updated apps.

Method 2 of 2

Find app updated date in Windows 11

The first method shows only the inbox and Store apps. If you wish to find the updated date of a classic desktop program, you can use the Settings app. Here is how.

Step 1: Open the Settings app using search or Windows logo + I hotkey. You can also launch the Settings app by right-clicking on the Windows logo button on the taskbar and then clicking the Settings option.

Step 2: On the left pane, click Apps and then click Installed apps to see the full list of apps installed on your Windows 11 computer.

Step 3: Make sure that the installed apps page shows apps in the list view by clicking on the List view icon (refer to the picture below).

Step 4: Now, select Date installed from the drop-down next to Sort by. Remember that when you Sort installed apps by Date installed, it actually orders the apps by their updated date. You can see the updated date just below the title of the app.
