The Phone Link app from Microsoft allows Android users to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and access photos right from Windows 10/11 PC. However, the Phone Link software did not support iPhones until recently.
Over the last week, Microsoft has updated the Phone Link app to add support for iOS. The result is iPhone users can make and receive calls, send and receive text, and iMessages right from their PCs. But does it support Windows 10?
Does Phone Link support iPhone on Windows 10?
Now that the Phone Link has been updated to support iPhones, many Windows 10 users want to link iPhones to Windows 10 PCs for calls and messages.
While it is true that the Phone Link app supports all iPhones running iOS 14 or later, the support for iOS is available only on Windows 11 PCs. This means that users cannot make/receive calls and send/receive messages from their Windows 10 computers.
Can we link iPhone to Windows 10 PC via Phone Link?
Currently, the Phone Link app on Windows 10 PC does not support iOS or iPhones. So, you cannot link iPhone to Windows 10 PC.
If you wish to make iPhone calls or messages from your PC, you need to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, which is being offered free of cost for now.
So, if your PC meets Windows 11’s minimum hardware requirements, we suggest you upgrade to Windows 11 to avail all the new features. Once on Windows 11, you can link iPhone to Windows 11 PC to make calls.
And if your PC does not support Windows 11, switching to an Android phone is the last resort. As you likely know, the Phone Link app in Windows 10 supports making and taking calls from your Windows 10 PC.
