The all-new Outlook for Windows app replaces the old Mail app in Windows 10 and 11. The new Outlook app is web-based and supports all leading webmail services, including the popular Gmail.
Since the new Outlook is based on Outlook.com, its user interface is very similar to the Outlook.com web version. Hence, if you have used Outlook.com before, you should be familiar with its user interface.
PC users who have started using the new Outlook app for Windows 10/11 have several queries regarding the app. Many users want to know where the Outlook app saves downloaded attachment files.
With default settings, when you click the down arrow icon next to an attachment and click the Download option, it will be saved to the Downloads folder. To help users, the Outlook app also shows a flyout with the recently downloaded attachments.
The new Outlook app saves all downloaded attachments to the Downloads folder, which is present under your user profile folder. Here is how to access it.
