On Macs, Apple Safari is the default web browser. A large percentage of Mac users prefer Safari over its competitors for various reasons, including privacy and better battery life.
With default installation settings, the Safari icon shows up on the dock. You may click on the Safari icon on the dock to launch it. Additionally, the Spotlight search can also be used to launch Safari.

Create Safari shortcut on Mac desktop from the dock
This is the easiest way to create a Safari shortcut on your Mac desktop.
Step 1: Hold down the Command key and then drag and drop the Safari icon from the dock area to the desktop to create its shortcut icon on the desktop.
Please note that dragging and dropping the Safari icon from the dock without holding down the Command key removes it from the dock. So, be sure to hold down the Command key.

Step 1: Open Finder by clicking its icon on the dock or using search.
Step 2: On the left pane of the Finder window, click Applications to navigate to navigate to the Applications folder.
Step 3: Here, in the Applications folder, look for the Safari entry. Once you find it, drag and drop the Safari icon from the Applications folder to the macOS desktop area to create its shortcut icon on the desktop immediately. That’s all!
You may now launch the Safari browser by double-clicking on its icon on the desktop.
Delete the Safari icon from the Mac desktop
