Microsoft has been aggressively pushing its generative artificial Intelligence (AI) tool Copilot as much as possible. First, it was introduced in Bing search, next Windows, and now in Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Microsoft Copilot tool is now available for Microsoft Office 365 subscribers without any additional cost.
The Office Word app, for instance, shows the “Select the icon or press Alt + I to draft with copilot” message once you create a new document. The Copilot in the Office Word can help you create drafts, create and insert AI images, and do much more. In short, Copilot in Word can help you supercharge your creativity and productivity.
That said, like other AI tools such as Google Gemini and ChatGPT (Copilot is based on ChatGPT), the Copilot is a new tool that can sometimes make mistakes.
Because of this, many users do not wish to use the Copilot tool in Office Word to create documents.
Luckily, if you do not like Copilot or AI tools in general, you can easily disable the Copilot tool in Office Word.
