Download Windows 11 ISO from the Microsoft website
NOTE: Using this method, one can download the Windows 11 ISO file from any device. For instance, you can download Windows 11 ISO on a Mac as well.
Step 1: Visit this official Windows 11 download page in a web browser of your choice. You can use any browser like Edge, Chrome or Safari.
Step 2: Scroll down the page to see the Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices section. Note that Windows 11 32-bit is not available. Here, in this section, select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO for x64 devices) from the drop down and then click the Download Now button.
Note that, it’s a multi-edition ISO meaning all editions of Windows 11 (such as Home and Pro) are included in this ISO file. To install Home or Pro, refer to our how to select Home or Pro edition during Windows 11 installation guide for directions.
Step 3: Clicking the Download button takes you to this page where you need to select the Windows 11 ISO language from the drop-down. Once selected, click the Confirm button to proceed to the last step.
Step 4: Finally, you will see the 64-bit Download button on your screen. Click the 64-bit Download button to begin downloading your Windows 11 ISO image file. The link is valid for the next 24 hours, meaning that you should finish downloading within the next 24 hours.
Once the ISO file is downloaded onto your PC, you can use any software, such as Rufus to create Windows 11 bootable USB drive. If you wish, you can also install Windows 11 directly from the ISO file without a bootable USB/DVD. The ISO file can be found in the Downloads folder just like other downloaded files unless you have changed the default download folder.
