Webmail providers such as Gmail and Hotmail automatically filter out unwanted email messages with the help of algorithms and make sure that they do not end up in the default Inbox folder.
These unwanted email messages are automatically removed from the Inbox folder and sent to a folder called Junk or Spam. If an email message is accidentally moved to the Junk or Spam folder (happens quite often), it can be found in the Spam or Junk folder.
On your iPhone, if you are using the default Mail app or using a third-party email management app installed from the Store, the app displays emails in the Inbox folder by default so that you can view emails important to you. At times, your webmail service might wrongly classify a legitimate email as junk and move it to the Junk or Spam email folder.
This guide will show you how to find and view the Junk or Spam email folder on iPhone.
