Microsoft no longer offers the Windows Live Movie Maker program to create and edit videos. Instead, a new app called Microsoft Clipchamp has been released to help PC users create and edit videos for free.
To start with, the Clipchamp app offers an easy-to-understand user interface. It’s beginner-friendly, and its drag-and-drop interface lets you easily create and edit videos. With Clipchamp, you can record videos with your built-in webcam or edit an already-recorded video. The free version of Clipchamp supports creating videos up to 1080p quality videos.
Auto composition powered by Microsoft AI, free audio, video, graphics and stickers, text-to-speech, auto-captions, and filters and effects are some of the features available in the free version of Clipchamp. The paid version offers more features and options.
The Microsoft Clipchamp is installed by default when you install or reinstall Windows. If it is not present on your Windows 11 or 10 installation, you can install it from the Microsoft Store.
