How To Pin Folders To Quick Access In Windows 10

Last Updated on June 15, 2016 by admin Leave a Comment

With Windows 10, there is a better way to quickly view and access recently opened files and folders. The Quick Access, which can be accessed by either clicking the File Explorer icon on the taskbar or simultaneously pressing Windows and E keys (Windows+E), displays recently opened files and folders.

Although long time Windows users who are used to Windows+E hotkey to open Computer might find this bit annoying but you can configure Windows 10 to display all partitions (drives) in Home or you can go through our Make Windows+E open This PC (Computer) in Windows 10 guide to see My Computer whenever you press Windows+E or click File Explorer icon.

In addition to drives, you can also pin folders that you access very often to the Quick Access for the easy access.

Note that Windows 10 doesn’t support pinning files to the Home folder without the help of third-party tools. However, it lets you pin folders and files to taskbar out of the box.
