How To See Scanned Documents/Pictures In Windows 11

Did you scan a document or picture using a scanner connected to your Windows 11 PC but are not sure where the scanned document or picture is saved on your PC? Would you like to see recently scanned documents\pictures on your Windows 11 PC? If yes, you are at the right place.

As you know, Windows 11 ships with an app called Scan (Windows Scan in the Microsoft Store) by default to let users scan documents and pictures easily.

The beauty of the new Windows Scan app is that it not only lets you save scanned documents and pictures in JPG or PNG file formats but also the popular PDF format. Users who are not happy with the new Windows Scan app can also install the classic Windows Fax and Scan program.

Location of documents and pictures scanned using the Windows Scan app on Windows 11 PC

The Windows Scan app creates a folder called Scans under the Pictures folder to save scanned documents and pictures.

To access scanned files, open This PC, click Pictures in the left pane, and then double-click the Scans folder to view all documents and pictures scanned using the Windows Scan app.

Location of documents/pictures scanned using the Windows Fax and Scan on a Windows 11 PC

Windows Fax and Scan program saves all scanned documents and pictures in a folder called Scanned Documents under the Documents folder.

So, to access documents scanned using the Windows Fax and Scan app, you need to open the Documents folder first and then double-click on the Scanned Documents folder.
