How To Use WhatsApp Web On Chrome, Edge And Firefox

Last Updated on October 19, 2022 by admin 2 Comments

Everyone knows how popular WhatsApp has become over the past decade. WhatsApp can be found on almost all smartphones these days.

As you likely know, a couple of months ago the company behind WhatsApp released a web client named WhatsApp Web so that PC users can also use WhatsApp on their web browsers without having to install the WhatsApp desktop client.

The web version of WhatsApp offers all the features that you get in the app version. You can read, replay, add status, start a new chat, create a new group, change profile and other settings. Whatsapp Web is perfect for users who want to have access to WhatsApp right on their computers and for users who prefer to type with a real keyboard rather on a touch screen.

The WhatsApp Web supports all major web browsers out there, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera.

To use WhatsApp Web on your computer, you must keep the internet/data turned on your smartphone. In other words, both your computer and smartphone must be connected to the internet.

UPDATE: The official version of WhatsApp Desktop is now available for Windows 10. If you prefer to have a dedicated desktop app, get the WhatsApp Desktop app from the Windows 10 Store.

Use WhatsApp Web on your browser

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp Web page on your Microsoft Edge browser. As you can see in the picture below, the page displays a QR code which you need to scan with the WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Step 2: On your smartphone, open the WhatsApp. On the iPhone, go to Settings/ Menu and tap the WhatsApp web/Desktop option. On Android devices, tap More options (hamburger icon) and then tap the WhatsApp web option.

Step 3: Finally, tap on the Scan QR code option and scan the QR showing on your computer screen with the WhatsApp app on the smartphone to start using the WhatsApp right on your web browser.

Sign out of WhatsApp web

Step 1: To sign out of WhatsApp web, open the WhatsApp web tab in your browser.

Step 2: Click the Hamburger icon (three vertical dots) and then click on the Log out option.
