You likely know that Windows 10 automatically downloads and installs device drivers and device driver updates for the hardware on your PC. The feature is convenient to keep your device drivers up-to-date.
At times, when your Windows 10 PC is not working well, you might want to check recently installed drivers or driver updates and uninstall or restore the previous version of a driver to fix the issue. But how to view recently installed drivers or driver updates in Windows 10?
The Windows Update section in the Settings app can be used to view not just recently installed Windows Updates but also device driver updates. In fact, you can also check the recently installed driver’s version number.
In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to check all recently installed driver updates in Windows 10.
View recently installed driver updates in Windows 10
Step 1: Open the Settings app. Click Updates & security category and then click Windows Update.
Step 2: In the Update status section, click View installed update history link.
Step 3: Here, in the Update history section, expand Driver updates to see all recently installed driver updates. We also suggest you check Other updates section if any driver updates entries are present.
NOTE: You will not see any entries if you have turned off automatic device driver updates in Windows 10.
On our Windows 10 PC, the list is showing all installed driver updates in the past 90 days. So, you should be able to view all installed driver updates in the last three months.
As you can see in the picture above, the list shows the name of the device driver and the date when it was installed on your PC. Click on the driver name link to know more about the update like list fixes and improvements.
