    You can shift to next paragraph or to the next line while typing by using hotkey { Shift + Enter }

    ex. :-

    Hi { Shift + Enter }
    How are you?

    Works for me on Windows:
    When typing a message, use Ctrl + Enter to write a new line (without sending the message).
    When you open Whatsapp Web, press Tab two times and the first chat will be highlighted. Then use the up and down keys to navigate through the chats. When you reach the chat you want, press Enter and start typing. If instead of typing you want to navigate through the messages of the chat, press Tab instead of typing and the most recent message of the chat will be highlighted. Then navigate through the messages with the up and down keys. When you reach the message you want, you can press the right arrow to perform some action with it (reply, forward etc).
    To navigate back in any context whatsoever, use Shift + Tab instead of just Tab.

    Biggest issue with emojis is that I can’t tell what they are called. There are no tooltips or any way to tell which one is which so I know what to search for if I’m trying to just use a keyboard to select them.

    What’s this one called for example? ?

    How would I know from the WhatsApp web interface?

    When the text input box is highlighted, Shift+Tab/Enter will bring up the Emoji box. Since Ctrl+1/2/3/etc and Ctrl+Shift+[ and Ctrl+Shift+] automatically put the cursor in the text input box it is pretty easy.

    Might I suggest that the zoom functions (also) be attached to the ones that Windows uses: Ctrl-(Numeric keypad +) for zoom in, Ctrl-(Numeric keypad -) for zoom out.

    how to send msg by using shortcuts?

  24. Joe says

    July 6, 2017 at 1:56 pm

    there’s also shortcuts like
    – Ctrl + P : go to profile
    – Ctrl + , : go to settings
    – Ctrl + 2 : go to the 2nd conversation (works from 1 to 9)

    and yeah, it could be something good to add shortcuts for emojis… seems quite necessary ;)

    Please create short cut for emojis as well.

  26. Peter Rietkerk says

    Can you please add some kind of shortcut for the emoticons?

    something like:
    * shortcut key to MRU emoticons
    * standard stuff like ;-) :-D 8-) becomes an emoticon
    * well, be creative!

    And why doesn’t text markup work? *bold* _italics_ stuff?

    Thanks
