As promised yesterday during the media event, Microsoft has made available for download the Technical Preview build of its upcoming Windows 10 operating system. Even though the Preview is intended for enthusiasts and IT Pros, anyone can install and experience the preview build for free.

To download the ISO copy of Windows 10, which is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors, one needs to head over to the Windows Insider Program page and join the Insider Program. After downloading the ISO image copy of Windows 10, you can either install and test it in a virtual machine such as VirtualBox or install Windows 10 on your PC from USB drive.

Whether you want to install Windows 10 Preview on a virtual machine or on a spare PC, you need the product key to complete the installation. Those of you who have downloaded Windows 10 ISO image after joining the Insider Program probably have noticed the product key on the download page.

If you didn’t notice the product key while downloading the ISO image or if you have downloaded the ISO image directly without joining the insider program, you can use the below-mentioned product key to install Windows 10 on your PC.

When you’re asked to enter a product key, please enter one of the following keys depending on the edition of Windows 10 you’re installing or activating.

Windows 10 Home: TX9XD-98N7V-6WMQ6-BX7FG-H8Q99

Windows 10 Pro: VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T

Windows 10 Enterprise: NPPR9-FWDCX-D2C8J-H872K-2YT43

These product keys can be used to activate all preview builds of Windows 10 that are officially released by Microsoft, which also means that the key might not work on leaked Windows 10 builds!

Note that the above-mentioned Windows 10 product keys work irrespective of the architecture of Windows 10, meaning they support both 32-bit and 64-bit. Just make sure that you’ve typed the 25 characters correctly, without any mistakes. Note that all these Windows 10 product keys are offered by Microsoft.

    Microsoft has revoked all eval keys….. You can no longer use Windows 10 evaluation software if you haven’t all ready
    built a machine.

    The build number should appear on bottom right-corner of the desktop. Alternatively, you can type winver.exe in Start search and press Enter key to see the build number.

    Product key: NKJFK-GPHP7-G8C3J-P6JXR-HQRJR is for new build (9926 and leter) I have build 10049!

    The key is provided by none other than Microsoft. So, should work fine on official builds. Might not work on leaked builds.
