Last Updated on July 27, 2021 by admin 1 Comment

Windows 11 features a redesigned File Explorer (previously known as Windows Explorer). With the new File Explorer for Windows 11, Microsoft has ditched the ribbon menu for a simple toolbar that looks modern and cleaner.

In addition to the new toolbar, the File Explorer now uses acrylic and offers a revamped context menu as well. All in all, the File Explorer in Windows 11 certainly looks fresh.

Although most users want to upgrade to Windows 11, not all users are eligible for the free upgrade. Moreover, since not all Windows 10 PCs support Windows 11 because of the peculiar hardware requirements, many users wonder if it’s possible to get the prominent features of Windows 11 in Windows 10 without the upgrade.

PC users who are running Windows 10 wonder if it’s possible to get Windows 11’s new File Explorer in Windows 10.

Install Windows 11’s File Explorer in Windows 10?

No, it’s not possible to get Windows 11 like File Explorer in Windows 10. As of writing this article, there is no theme or software that can bring Windows 11 like File Explorer to Windows 10. Likewise, there is no option to get the modern context menu in previous versions of the Windows operating system.

If you are looking for a better alternative to the built-in File Explorer in Windows 10 (or Windows 11), try the latest version of Files. It’s a UWP app and is available to install from the Windows Store.

Meanwhile, Windows 10 users who are not eligible to upgrade to Windows 11 can continue using Windows 10. Microsoft will continue to release updates. Windows 10 will be supported until October 2025.

Modern and cleaner is stupid if it involves removing functionality. It’s form over function and apparently you people are okay with that idiocy.
