Almost every Windows user has gone through this. Once in a while, when you connect your USB keyboard or mice to your PC, your PC fails to detect the hardware for some unknown reason and gives “your device has a driver problem and needs to be reinstalled” or “your device is currently disabled in Windows” error.
Microsoft Support recently released a Fix it solution to diagnose and fix various USB related issues. Other than the above-mentioned errors and issues, the Fix-It solution can also be used if driver updates are not automatically installed by Windows Update.
If you are receiving any of the above-mentioned errors, you can download and run the Fix it solution to repair the issue. Visit this Fix it solution page and then click on Run now button to download and run the solution. Please note that the above fix it solution is designed for Windows 7 only. So, it doesn’t work on Windows 8.
We suggest you visit the Fix it solution center home page to download more automatic solutions.
If you are on Windows 8 and using Microsoft keyboard or mice, don’t forget to download the Microsoft Device Center for Windows 8.
