Do you use the WhatsApp app on Windows 10/11 PC? Do not want the Grammarly service to highlight spelling mistakes and grammar suggestions while typing in WhatsApp? Are you wondering why Grammarly is showing suggestions in the WhatsApp app? If yes, you are at the right place.
No doubt, Grammarly is one of the most popular spelling and grammar checking services available. Hundreds of thousands of users around the globe use Grammarly every day. However, most users do not want suggestions in the WhatsApp app, as they prefer using short words in WhatsApp!
Up until about a year ago, the Grammarly plugin was separately available for Microsoft Office programs, but that’s no longer the case. Unlike before, Grammarly cannot be installed only for Office Word and Excel.
Grammarly developers now offer a single installer for Windows, which, when installed, enables Grammarly for almost all apps, including WhatsApp. So, if you install Grammarly on Windows with the intention of using the Grammarly service in Office Word and Excel, you end up installing Grammarly for all apps, including WhatsApp.
That said, if you do not like to see Grammarly suggestions in WhatsApp or any other app, you can turn it off with ease.
This guide shows you how to turn off or disable Grammarly in the WhatsApp app on a Windows 10/11 PC.
