Part of Edge problem was it never could run on half of Windows PC’s running Windows 7. A huge mistake if you ask me if you want upgraders from Win 7 to Win 10 to embrace a new browser like Edge. Ironically Microsoft has finally decided to ditch the ideal and adopt Chromium engine which will give the browser ability to run on Win 7 and Mac OS as well as potentially other platforms like Linux. Clearly a admission that a browser to succeed you have to run on as many platforms as possible. Something Microsoft should had realized with enterprise customers who use many different devices on many operating systems.

Microsoft are a bunch of dicks! Cannot upgrade to Windows 10 due to the old processor I have and this means I cannot use Edge.

A bit stupid – create a browser that is much better than IE. Slap it with an unfortunate logo that resembles IE, limit it to a specific OS….no wonder the likes of Firefox, Chrome, Opera which do not impose limitations are killing IE and Edge in terms of sheer usage.
